Waterspots: Boat - yes, Car - no

I waxed my boat with Meguiars Flagship and washed it with Meguiars boat wash. After drying it, it still has lots of waterspots.

I waxed my car with Meguiars synthetic polish and washed it with Meguiars car wash. No water spots.

Anyone else notice this?

What kind of Meguiars Wash did you use on the boat? If it was the Green "Wash & Wax" you have to do a lot of rinsing to get the soap off.

I used the red Marine Gel Wash, #54. I have not tried wash/wax products on the car or boat. Do they work?
