well last year i wet sanded with 800 grit below the rub rail and buffed with presta gel coat then waxed with meguiars flagship. this year i removed the stripe above the rub rail and wet sanded that area then buffed with presta super cut then waxed with meguiars flagship. i had planned on doing quite a bit more but just ran out of time. next year i should have it perfect but still not bad for a 31 year old boat. arm feels like its about to fall off...lol. this year the only thing i did below the rub rail was wash and wax, no buffing

Looks good. Try doing it to my 31 year old 390.

Thanks guys. and no thanks on the 390. i think if mine was a 260 i'd say never again...lol. arm feels like its gonna fall off

in the water today. didn't go out though. drove from the ramp to our slip. spent the rest of the day setting up our dock and cleaning and organizing the interior.

Thanks. hoping it gets easier each year as i don't let it get back to where it was the year before. hoping to have a new (to me) boat next year though.

Nice job. Looks great!

Looks great! I'm surprised you didn't have to cut down to 1500 grit before polishing. Nicely done!

I love this Presta stuff. If you look close you can see sanding scratches. If I had more time I would have went to 1200 next but not this year. If I still have it next year then I will probably try 1500 (may have to hit it with 1200 first) then Presta Super Cut. Hopefully I will have a newer, bigger boat next year though...lol

Looks great, nice work!

As mentioned above cutting down to 1000-1500-2000 grit will lessen the amount of buffing required to get that mirror finish.
