The parties did their own testing that is not the issue. The issue is your bull shit about the Trumps were not required to wear masks. Your article clearly states they broke the rules. You denied that right from the start but you are 100% wrong.

You must not of read the whole article. Maybe you didn't see the part I'm referring to.

You highlight the clickbait article title and what ABC said that Wallace said. What the article says is different in one spot from the other. I'll go with this, "But that didn't apply to candidates or their traveling parties, according to the Cleveland Clinic".

I realize your link disagrees with your post that Trumps family did not follow rules and did not keep their masks on. Also your original post makes claims that are not in the article you added bull shit to your statement then tried to cover it up.
The only part that did not apply was both sides did their own testing and they were put on the honor system but MASKS WERE REQUIRED.

Nothing like changing the rules in the middle of the game.

I thought they are supposed to "follow the science." Well the science says isolate for 10 days after symptoms or test date and as long as you are symptom free and fever free for 48 hours, you are free to proceed as normal. Trump will meet those criteria in a few days. No reason to go virtual. So much for "the science." Bunch of frauds.

Here's what the science actually says:

"Duration of isolation and precautions
  • For most persons with COVID-19 illness, isolation and precautions can generally be discontinued 10 days after symptom onset1 and resolution of fever for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medications, and with improvement of other symptoms.
    • A limited number of persons with severe illness may produce replication-competent virus beyond 10 days that may warrant extending duration of isolation and precautions for up to 20 days after symptom onset; consider consultation with infection control experts."
I don't know how they could resolve the secondary criteria absent some medical details that haven't been put out. I imagine the Commission was also worried about the rest of the party that would show up. They didn't exactly distinguish themselves in terms of obeying the rules the first time. Plus, the White House seems to be a hotbed of infection they can't seem to come to grips with so that adds risk as well.
On the other hand, I don't remember seeing President Trump on a virtual meeting at any time before or during the pandemic, has anyone? So, he may well not know how to use the technology, putting him on Zoom for the first time would potentially be a real disadvantage and somewhat unfair.

You would have to ask Trump why him and his band did not follow the science or the CDC guidelines. Trump can't be trusted and the Commision on Presidential Debates sets the rules for the debate, they can change them if they want.

Trump administration has not decreased the overall trade imbalance. For all trading partners, the Census Bureau said the trade deficit was $576.9 billion last year, nearly $100 billion higher than during the last year of Barack Obama's presidency.

I am not concerned about Trump. He doesn't claim "to follow the science." I want to know why the Commission doesn't do it. Could they possibly have a bias against Trump? Nah.
