Next time you're bored at the boat, give your genset elbow a bump and see if this happens!

My finger.

It started sounding louder, like when it doesn't get enough raw water flow, but the flow was fine, so I shut it down. Next day, I went to check the exhaust hose, and it came off in my hand. Good thing it wasn't running.

Jon, do you still have your spare?

I will say that AFAIK, it is the original part. 13 years, and 1278 hours in saltwater.

This of course brings up an old thread I had asking who has actually pulled a 7.0 from a 370 Dancer, and how much of the Stbd engine and/or genset has to be dissassembled to make it happen?

Sold mine on Ebay about three years ago, as I remember you got out bid! Ironically when I changed mine I found the orginal, which was about 12 years old at the time and about 600 hours in salt water to be in excellent shape. I thought I had wasted my money replacing it, but now that I see yours I feel better about having a new one.
