Hi,

I found an auction where this pictures are posted. Can any one help me to know what model it is, year, how much could it be worth and the main issues I may find? Any kind of help would be much appreciated.

Didn't the auction site have any information about the boat? If not, I would never even consider submitting a bid on it.

looks like an 89 268, and how much will they pay you to take it??? It is not worth the cost to transport it from Mexico...

Probably not a 268 (I owned a 1989 268) model had a bolted on swim deck throughout it's production years. It appears to be a 1989 250 Sundancer and seems to be in pretty rough shape. In great shape it would still sell for under $10,000 - in rough shape... who knows?

Main issues - Have a mechanic check the engine paying special attention to the exhaust manifolds for rust (probably sea water cooled) and pull the drive to check the u-joints for rust and gimble bearing for wear, bellows for condition. Have a surveyor specifically check the transom around the outdrive and near the trim tabs for water intrusion and rot - also the stringers for rot. Older boats often have a rats nest of wires under the helm from various do-it-yourself projects over the years that can cause intermittent power issues.

It's better to know what you're getting into before hand.
