What is needed?

What is need onboard for a sea trial? I have a fire ext. And plenty of tools. Will take 5 gal of fuel, extra battery, spare fuses, wire and an empty bucket for whatever reason. Will I need to Take anything else?

I already own the boat. I have been doing alot of work on it and plan to have it in the water around the end of the month. So far it hasnt been that bad to work on. Minor things rewired, New battery cables, bilge pumps, and fixed trim pump. I Used to build boats for IMP years ago before they went under so I know my way around them. I just wanted to make sure I have what all I might need on the first time out.

Life vests, horns, anything required to pass a safety inspection in your area.

You might try and coordinate your run with someone else who has a boat, so you have someone to tow you back in should something not go right.

Failing that, I'd suggest you bring a cell phone, and oars.
