If he already has delamination, he's got substantial rotten coring.

This is a significant repair, but I think the $12K estimate probably came from someone who doesn't need the work or doesn't care to fool with it. I'll bet you that you can find some independent somewhere that works on his own but is competent that can fix the boat for a lot less.

The 300WE is one of Sea Ray's best mid sized boats...........if you can't get it fixed, I'd bet someone somewhere would love to make a center console fish boat out of that hull & mechanicals.

Who is your insurance company? Are they claiming that the damage is your fault? Seems to me that since they opened their check book to pay for the water intrusion, they should cover the repair? Did I miss something?:huh:
