Made it to the boat the last four days.

Perfect winter weather. Outside temp 65 water temp 53.

I hadn’t been on the boat since November and it is amazing how just a few days in the water gets you out of your winter funk and reminds you how deep this hobby is in your soul!

Beautiful. We were going to come to Powell this summer with some friends. But we found out we are expecting our first grandchild in early July. So it will have to wait until next year.

That is a good reason to stay home. When you make the trip let me know and I will give you the run down of the lake.

I usually get to the boat once a week or so, even if it is to just sit and have beer. This winter has been very busy and I was only able to do that last Monday. Still went and checked on things (in water) abut no hanging out. Some of my dock neighbors will get together and have a winter sucks dock party, that also helps.

But to your point, nothing like taking the boat out and enjoying the scenery.

I’ve been threatening to take a trip out west for years and see the big lakes. I almost wound up out there instead of Florida a few years back. Does it ever get like “antifreeze needed” cold in that area?

If your boat is in the water you don’t have to winterize your motors.
If you dry store it you have to.
Dec , Jan, Feb the night lows hit the 20s.

I’m about two weeks from pulling ours out to do bottom paint and other punch list items. Just been waiting for the over night temps to come up as I don’t want to winterize if I don’t have to.

Aramark is always hiring at all three marinas
On my end of the lake they are looking for a GM as we speak. How ever it takes a special breed of person to live in Bull frog Utah, as it is very very remote.
