Where to find parts for older boats

I've just started the process of restoring my 1988 Sorrento. A few areas of rot, interior, engine, etc.
I've removed the interior and ready to remove the carpeting next in order to prepare to have some of the rot addressed. In removing the various interior parts I have a few nuts/bolts that need to be replaced but I'm not certain what they are called. I think it is an elevator bolt, countersunk with prongs but my search ends up with a part of what I need (galvanized not stainless or stainless but no prongs).

Advice appreciated.

Those are “Tee Nuts” and commonly available online and in better stocked Hardware stores. Drill the holes in your new backing and tap them in to place. The prongs hold them in to the backing while you tighten the bolt.
The bolt, starvwasher, and other nut is standard stuff, and the washer is a”Fender Washer”, all commonly available.
You need the Fender Washers because the holes in the fiberglass are larger to allow you to move the panel around slightly to adjust and properly align it.
Get stainless steel hardware.

JVM225,

Thanks and it’s not scary:). I’ve seen the various DIY vlogs and they are great. Makes the unknown known and an appreciation for what needs to be done.

I won’t be doing the stringer/floor replace and have found two places (evaluating estimates now) that can easily handle this job. This is all they do so the price is not that bad.

I’m focusing on the easier stuff; interior removal/install, engine, wiring, etc.

As I’m doing the demo work I have found parts that I would like to replace (including the plastic logo on the side). I would love to see Sea Ray provide support for this part of the forum and the older boats. Older Sea Rays on the water demonstrate longevity and “club” like community.

Anyway, hoping to find out how to get these bolts.

jvm225,

I'm actually looking for a T-bolt (if there is such a thing). I thought they might be called elevator bolts (with prongs). I suppose I could take a T-Nut, glue it down and cut the head off a 2" bolt but was looking to reduce my fabrication of stuff.

Consider replacing the logo on the side with vinyl. There is usually an assortment of Sea Ray logos on eBay, or a local sign guy can usually make up whatever you want.

JVM225,
Thanks. Will do.

I'd like to find the original or maybe make a 3D printer version or ..... maybe casting my own (never done it but this DIY looks interesting:
)

Does anybody know where I can find the black material used on the sorrento's for the table and dash OR if you have replaced it, could I bug you to send pics of what you have replced it with (teak, carbon fibre, etc).
The first pic is the entire table, the second shows the edge and hot it looked new.
