Watching Star trek in the "barco" lounger at the moment, fire place full bore and the bar calling me... can't really move at the moment, going to finish my bottle of water and try and make another drink for round three ... Dog is even passed out, and he is a Lab.

Just one plate for me and a small piece of pie so I behaved myself. Watching the Cowboys going into overtime...

I limited myself to one plate as well and then left my wife with her folks and drove 1 1/2 hour back home to tend to the dogs. Looking forward to leftovers and more pie in blissful solitude for the evening. Still pondering if I want to go fetch the wife at some point this weekend or not. I am quite sure if I don't, my FIL will just put her on a bus though so I guess I'll go back and get her after all:p

I had a reasonable portion but still feel stuffed. Had a 3 hour drive home and I’m ready for bed.

I've never been one to be able to eat large portions. "All-you-can-eat" venues are a waste of money for me. Besides, I'd rather have a turkey sandwich than the fresh-cooked turkey. I'm all about the leftovers. Now, pumpkin pie with a big dollop of whipped cream is another subject entirely!

I’m headed to second Thanksgiving with my wife’s family in a little bit. We legit had us completely second Thanksgiving dinner at my mother-in-law‘s house. That way her kids can go with their spouses families, and then come to her house the next day.

She’s a very good cook so everything is delicious, but I think I need to wear some stretchy sweatpants.

I the opposite. I enjoy a nice juicy fresh turkey. The leftovers I just had for lunch were great except for the turkey. The turkey just tasted weird to me with a not so great flavor. I can eat it in a sandwich though with other ingredients to mask the leftover turkey skunk.

I take the not-so-thoroughly-stripped carcass and make turkey noodle soup. Then, leftover turkey makes great sandwiches, as does the leftover ham. I'm set for the week!

I am normally the same, but this year my wife used a pioneer woman brine recipe, I swear the breast is just as good and juicy the next day as it was fresh. We will def do this from now on.

Funny you mention the brine. I made a brine for my turkey as well. We brought most of the food for supper over to my in-laws but they made a turkey as well. When we packed up they gave me half the leftovers back and somehow the turkeys were switched. Ha ha ha. I get the dried up one.

Just finished the last slice of chocolate cream pie after having ham on buns and a few slices of cheese from the cheese platter. The rest of the pumpkin pie is next on the list.
