our city has now cancelled all local festivals through August. Seems premature to me, I know there is planning and vendor commitments but that’s 5-6 months away

If you can get the boat in even if it needs a coat of bottom paint and waxing I would recommend going for launch before it gets shut down for an indefinite period of time. That is our plan the as soon the marina where our boat is stored reopens. You can always wax/bottom paint at a later time.

So far N Texas has its waters open. We're in year round so maybe that helps.

A very early 92 degrees yesterday and beautiful (70 today), so I went down and took her for a nice cruise.

There were more boats out and about than I expected, but I was happy to see that. I went and dropped the hook on the leeward side of an island to chill - and next thing I know four other cruisers come around the island - and then all tie up together like there was nothing going on. I don't get it. Took a pic, but not posting that.

I seriously considered going in the water today.... but we have this high water problem that is suppose to be worse than last year... so I opted to take my chances.
If the water is higher than last year there is no where to go.... if Wuhan virus is still around there is no where to go... So I gambled on safe .... but have a parking spot close to the travel lift :)

and many of them are clowns...self-serving power hungry clowns. Much of what’s occurring right now is unconstitutional, in my opinion. The whole thing sucks, like we’re stuck in a bad sci-fi movie. Together we’re strong, divided we’ll fall...individually and as a Country.

Delaware police are now stopping out of state cars and requiring them to either go back to their home state or quarantine in state for 14 days, so i dont know when I'll even be welcome in that state let alone able to put the boat in.

I am starting to worry about the same thing... I have a home in Indiana, business in Michigan and a boat in Ohio... I have two cars one with a Indiana plate and one with a Michigan plate... It’s getting to be a bit much...deciding which car would be better to cross state lines with.... Then quarantine for 14 days?.... because you crossed an imaginary line in a corn field ?
This has gotten a bit silly

This twit of a governor should be clamping down Detroit with an iron fist.... get that Talib off Twitter and controlling district 13. Wayne county for some reason is being separated from Detroit when it comes to the counts... why?.... that whole county should be in lock down .... the rest of the state should be treated differently... especially 50 miles out

What really pisses me off is this governor ran on “Fix the damn roads”...and she hasn’t fixed a single pot hole.... politics is bullshit...why do we have to put up with this time and time again ?
 
Frankly with nothing else to do, it's time to file the lawsuits. That is clearly without question an unconstitutional order. There are less draconian means to prevent the spread of the virus.

When are you going in? I'm set for 4/30 and tempted to move it up but right now I'm thinking let it be and see how this progresses over the next 3 weeks.

I am just going to take it easy.... we need good weather... the next two week forecast is not boating weather...
I need a bit of time ..maybe a few weeks to get our business under control... that’s up to the government right now... I think it’s a wait and see still
 
I am at a private club which will be open, but I can't get my boat there. I have a hauler who uses the local boat ramp - which is closed. There was an article about two guys moving the barricade and launching their boats who were then arrested.

CT schools just extended their shutdown to May 20. I suspect the parks and therefore boat ramp is closed to at least the same as the schools.
