My Helm seat needs reupholstered. Will probably save that for after this season. I'd like to find some 3-4" wide white vinyl tape. the damage is along the upper edge of the back of the seat. It's way too much to try to repair the right way.
Does anyone know where to get tape like this? I'm guessing this would need to have some kind of reinforcement and a really strong adhesive.
I've looked all over and found nothing. Just need something to hold it together for this season.

You might try sail repair tape. I haven't used it for upholstery, but I have used it as a 'get through the season repair' for boat canvas. It is closer to cloth in appearance. It should work on upholstery without any need for reinforcement. You can get it from any of the usual marine supply places.

White Duct tape.
The affect will be the same as whatever other tape you find.

You may try to just find a seat cover for it until the end of the season. Go to your local auto parts store and see if you can find something that will work. If not, You could also try west marine or another boat acc. dealer to find one. It may cost a couple of bucks more but it will sure look a lot better.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll see if they still have seat covers for bench seats. If not, the "Duck Tape" will have to do till Fall.
Thanks Again

& clean the adhesive area real good & wipe with solvent & let dry - may even want to apply another adhesive to both the patch & seat & don't use until cured (or completely dry)
