We are seeing 1-2 mile visibility on the lake near Milwaukee. At 38 miles east it was better at 3 miles visibility. At our office in Waukesha, the air quality reached "hazardous levels" on Tuesday afternoon before dropping back to "very unhealthy" on Wednesday morning with an air quality index of 248, according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources air quality tracker. Much of the Milwaukee area, plus the Madison area, were also at a "very unhealthy" air quality level Wednesday morning. I read we may see this on and off all summer...

Yesterday was nasty in West Michigan. I'm not sure it was as bad as the photos I saw of NYC a few weeks back, but it was bad.

The real kicker - this crap does fall out, onto our boats. I've been noticing the streaking for a few weeks now, especially if we get a light rain.

North Wi isn't quite that high, but it's pretty hazy out this morning. But how can Jefferson County be at 41, and Dane 233? This map makes little sense.

We're at a 235 currently. I guess that means I should fill up my gas tank on my way home and mow the lawn this evening? :)

To the south at SMYC we normally can see the Oak Creek power plant. Not now. We have this now.

That’s gotta suck for the Summer Fest entertainers and fans!

The Washington DC area was the socked in today. Towards sunset, the visibility was terrible. We are under air quality alerts.

What's the down side to fighting fires?

This evening they said it was 180 here in Pittsburgh but they said it hit 253 earlier in the day. We have a water tower about 1 mile away as the crow flies and could just barely make out the silhouette when we got home earlier.

I program Stage lighting for a large church. I went in last night to program. The picture is BEFORE i turned the hazer on. They had the stage door open all afternoon.

Air quality is “very unhealthy”. Been like this for several days. Air smells like creosote.

Same Baltimore. Supposed to be sunny. Grey sky, smells like chimney smoke. canada been up there for 300+ years and i don’t remember anything like this before.
I was gonna take zodiac ride today, its just not nice out. Didn’t feel the vibe.
Spent yesterday in the forest making my own smoke and fire, probably again tomorrow.
Sure saving a lot on boat gas.

Air quality was at 223 at lunch today while the news was on. Hit 253 yesterday. Still can't see the water tower about a mile away. Actually 1.58 miles...just checked...lol
