I want to replace the snaps riveted to the windshield on my 2000 380 DA.

Please share what snaps you used (if they worked good. I replaced my cockpit cover and enclosure last year, and some of the snaps are a little loose and thought after 22 years may be best to replace them

thanks in advance!

Chris - interested to see what advice you get, as I just replaced my cockpit cover and full canvas and some of the windshield snaps are toast too. Except my cockpit cover goes all the way down to the bottom of the windshield so these upper snaps are just for when I have the windows in place.

If you haven't used it before, one thing that's worked out awesome for me is this zipper and snap lube. I put a dab under the canvas end of the snap and no more trouble pulling up the snaps:

Thank you Phil, just ordered some.

looks like perko stainless snap stud is the description, just need to find where I can get them without all the other pieces (I don’t need right now)

If you are going back with the same snaps, you can buy new stainless steel pop rivets and a installation tool very inexpensively. You'll need to drill the old ones out, and reinstall a new snap. I keep a tool and a selection of SS rivets in my canvas repair kit along with various snaps. I think these are 1/8" pop rivets.

If your looking for something else, I used Loxx snaps on my rear camper curtains as the wind would pull the old snaps and beat my gelcoat. Sailrite has a great selection of snaps to fit your needs.
