Windshield Vent

[Clearing Up]

Windshield vent on my 320 is not working. All other controls on the helm pad are working. I know there was a previous thread on the subject, any help in locating the thread or suggestion as to what could be the problem would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what year your 320 is, but the vent window motor on my 93' 330 didn't work when I got the boat earlier this year either. It only budged about a 1/4" out or in. I removed it and cleaned and lubricated it, but still no luck. I ordered a new linear acutator from Progressive Automations (www.progressiveautomations.com). I order the 4" mini linear actuator with 15lbs of force. I think it ran somewhere around $120 or so.

Of course.. all this assumes it's not a switch problem you have. Either way, good luck and hope this helps.

I took mine off and sprayed some PB Blaster down it.I then hooke it up to a 12v battery charger and did the contacts forward and reverse.It still works now.

It'll need a shot of lube every now and then.

Mine stopped working last year. Took it out and tested wires. There were 3. One was a jumper or a tag end that has a break in it at the casing. I deleted it and it now works fine.

Check on eBay. I just got a replacement for $69 earlier in the month. Works great!

If you have a power driver's seat that you don't ever use, you may find that it is the same unit as the power window vent. Take it out of the seat and use it for the vent.

Mine was stuck in the closed position; disassembled it, lubricated it and back in service again.

I know this is a dead thread... but on my 1991 350DA (1992-1994 370DA) the windsheild vent actuator is a Warner Electric #S12-09A4-06

I actually read the number off the casting and the spec sheet matches exactly what i measured off the part. Its also still being sold. So if you want the OEM equipment here you go.
