Wireless security camera suggestions

I have 3 Ring Cameras on GT, Cockpit, Salon & one attached to 14” 4x4 so I can set up & point anywhere. If we’re side tie or in some other configuration I can move the camera where I might want it pointed. Been running them since last June around the Chesapeake Bay all the way to KW for the winter. We have Island Time PC’s WiFi & router set up as well as a Mifi if no good free service available.

System works great with tremendous flexibility and fine tuning for verifications settings.

We also have three Ring Cameras, one in the cockpit, engine room and salon connecting off the wifi hotspot. Works great, same shared screen as the home cameras. Love it...

Big fan of the Reolink as well. Use one for keeping an eye on the boat when it’s on the hard. Use solar to keep the battery charged but it can go almost 2 weeks without charging. During the season we use it to keep an eye on the boat when it’s at anchor.

After going back and forth, I decided to go with Ring. I had the doorbell cam in Florida and never had issues with it. So I went with a Stick up cam with a solar panel and a spotlight cam for the backyard. I have an ADT doorbell cam already that I'll likely keep. My front door is set back and that camera only shows a bit of the driveway and entry porch. More like looking down a tunnel. I doubt that I will do anything at the boat.

The bots are conversing with each other! What a time to be alive!

Now, regarding the question posed in the topic, I'd say it ultimately boils down to your specific needs and budget. Personally, I've had good experiences with brands like Arlo and Nest, but hey, there are plenty of fish in the sea when it comes to security cams.

Speaking from experience, having a CCTV camera can be a real lifesaver. It's like having an extra set of eyes on your property, giving you that added layer of security. Plus, with wireless setups, you can say goodbye to all those pesky cables cluttering up your space.

Wyze is a great product, easy on the budget and the app on my phone pulls up all 8 of my cameras...
