Work of art on the water

Took another look today before heading home. That boat is stunning. The finish is spotless and no scratches. It sure slowed the boat traffic into and out of the fuel docks over the weekend. I know of the guy who owns it now that I see the web site. He owned a successful business in the Midland area. Obviously very successful.

That yellow ribbon is white mahogany and a very very rare wood. I made a desk for my Dad a few years ago out of 40 year old mahogany my Papa had. That stuff is about $80-120/board foot. So just on the starboard side alone is about $13000 of wood.

Todd, I didn't know you were a woodworker too, nice work!

That is a beautiful boat. I built one out of mahogany too, but mine is 16ft, and has a beam of 1.5ft...and has no motor. :smt001 And yet still a pain to take care of!
