I'm just trying to figure out if that yellow fuel line. What is the gauge on that? I keep seeing 3/8 314s and other stuff like that but no real answer, I tried looking at the manual no answer, so does anybody know?

Looks like fuel line that's used on weed-eaters, blowers and chainsaws.
That doesn't belong there. Somebody just used what they had, instead of making the trip.

Just tell the guy at the local parts counter you need x# of feet of vacuum line.
It will be black, like fuel line, but quite a bit smaller diameter. Don't know what size that would be.
You could cut a good piece out of the middle of that to match the inside diameter.

You'll want it a little longer than it currently is, so that it's not trying to kink at either end.

Oh lol so I'm guessing I need that 3/8 because this new one is not fitting lol

Folks, it’s the overflow line encase the float in the carb gets stuck. It goes from the carb back down to the fuel pump. It keeps the pump from flooding the carb / engine with gasoline

Id be replacing that one.

Thats 3/8 clear tygon tubing that aged and yellowed from gas vapor or was yellow tygon tubing to start. Either way you can just replace with standard tygon tubing.

Edit: It should be tied in with the pump over flow as well.

Yeah the original one wasn't 3/8 and either was the one eye bought. So I'm replacing it with another one that's actually 3/8 but it's black, not yellow clear see-through

I just bought 3/8 and that was way to wide in diameter so I don't know what to do now

It's probably 5/16", but it needs to be clear. That way you can see if/when there is an issue with the pump or carb. It is very important that if gas is seen in those tubes that you stop the engine and get it fixed. Those lines are more of emergency catches so the fuel doesn't end up in the bilge. But if the engine keeps running like that you will have a serious problem on your hands, should there be an issue.

I'm guessing it was a quarter. That worked. It was easy fit on the top so I clamped it but the bottom was a lot more difficult but I got it on. Additionally, I actually bought the black tube because that's the only one I can find in the quarter around me, and I wasn't going to pay $5 extra at a marine place.

That yellow line is a vent line for the fuel pump diaphragm. In an automotive fuel pump, if the pump diaphragm leaks, the nipple position is just a hole, and fuel leaks out the hole. In marine applications, it is basically an automotive fuel pump with that nipple and yellow hose so the fuel goes to the carb, instead of the bilges.

You see fuel in it, pump needs to be replaced.

You can't use black, it needs to be clear so you can see if there is an issue. Otherwise it defeats the purpose, and is a rather large safety factor.
