Has anyone had experience replacing their IMU Compass?
It stands for Inertial Momentum Unit and is part of the zeus autopilot / skyhook system.
Last week while the cummins/mercruiser tech was sea trialing the boat, my IMU was 60degrees off.
Today, he was not able to communicate with the unit at all. After the tech spent time with Mercruiser support while on the boat, they said the unit was toast and being told it needs to be replaced. I would love a sanity check.
