Looks like I need a new outdrive. I still haven’t made the decision whether I’m going to pull the trigger on an aftermarket SEI bravo 3, or just send it and buy the new OEM Mercruiser SeaCore unit.
Both have a one year warranty and if I’m gonna grenade anything due to a defect, I’ll know before the end of that year. That will be at least 100 run hours.
My main question is starting with factory fresh paint, which growth control treatment would work better. Something like a prop speed applied to the drive or lightly sanding OEM paint and going over the whole drive and painting with Trilux.
Have any of you used the propspeed or propglide outdrive coatings? I know the Trix works pretty well in these waters but I’m kind of tired of dealing with it if there’s something better
