Will do . I will be at the boat wednesday.Hey - can you send photo of the front of your engines (stbrd) where the exhaust is? I will send a photo of mine. We didn't need to remove any exhaust piping.

I hope he is held responsible. Those suckers ain't cheap.Hey all - an update on loss of boost on starboard engine. Had turbo off and checked, all ok. When mechanic was re-fitting he said "I think I found your problem" - see image attached.
Turns out when I had the AC removed and serviced last time, the previous mechanics failed to install the bottom bolts to hold it on to the brackets - 2 x top bolts ok 2 x bottom bolts nope.
Removed the port one. Got home late last night so haven’t taken it apart yet to see what it looks like. Port only took 30 minutes to remove.Hey - can you send photo of the front of your engines (stbrd) where the exhaust is? I will send a photo of mine. We didn't need to remove any exhaust piping.
Rustoleum Canvas White from HD was almost perfect. Painted 6CTAs in the 420DA as well as the QSCs in the 44DB.Do any of you know where to buy the right color match paint for the cummings ?

Yup. That’s good enough. If you need to brush on, a 50-50 mix of Rustoleum white and almond gets close enough to the same color.Rustoleum Canvas White from HD was almost perfect. Painted 6CTAs in the 420DA as well as the QSCs in the 44DB.

That will be great to get to the tight spots.Yup. That’s good enough. If you need to brush on, a 50-50 mix of Rustoleum white and almond gets close enough to the same color.
What you can see looks good. Most vulnerable part is hidden by the o-ring and the core, which is the mating edge of the aluminum housing. If you pull the o rings off and slide out the core, you can check out the inner face and edge of the two ends of the housing.View attachment 162602View attachment 162603View attachment 162604View attachment 162606View attachment 162607View attachment 162608What do you all think.
This is port after cooler. 23 years and never serviced. Other than the bottom having some old impeller parts it looks pretty clean to me.
Do I pull starboard or not. I think I will still pull the cooler out of this and clean.

yes fresh water. I don’t envy what you’re dealing with.Hey JC - are you fresh water? We just got my starboard core out (had to cut casing off it) pics attached. As we dive deeper the worse it gets. Found out now that the previous mechanic had used some sort of crappy sealer around the end caps to seal them, it went all hard and flaked out. Port AC had started to flake too but no water leaking. Didn't help that they weren't bolted on properly and were vibrating.
