Well, I just finished a fresh day in HELL! On 1/23/10 closed a deal on a new 240DA.:smt038 So, today all I have to do is trailer my '94 Bayliner to the marina as a trade in. Well, I back the trailer down the ramp and run over to the slip, about 200 yards, start the boat idle over and all is well till I approach the trailer. Lake level is down so I try to tilt the motor up just a little,NOPE! trim motor is shot. oh well, I continue, my bayliner has a cat hull so you have to hit the bunks just right. Missed the bunks by 3" to the right, I didn't realize it till I pulled her out of the water and stopped to check the strap and set the safety chain. CRAP!:smt021 it's sitting on the raw cross beams of the trailer. So, back into the water we go. Second attempt went perfectly. Now I have her out and double checking everything for the hour and a half drive. As I'm checking everything I see the damage, long scratches down the Hull:smt089. As I approach the marina I get nervous about explaining the damage, after all it is the trade in that I explained was in great working order . I walk in and explain what happend, just knowing they would reject my trade. With a hand shake and a grin she says "oh,thats an easy fix, dont worry about it, just go home and prepare for the delivery of your new 240DA"
I love Sea Ray and the dealer Marinemax.
