I bought the same units…a year on, they’re still sitting in the workshop. Haven’t found the stomach for the job yet!
Please send a photo of where you drilled the holes and how high up the tank. I’ve been debating where they will be most effective vs what if they leak!

Does anyone have the blowby ratings for a 3116TA?
Cat sent me the rating for a 150hp 3116 non-marine and said to use the ratio from this to apply to a 350hp engine (as new). i.e. 0.57 x 350 = ~200 L/min (for a new engine).
Agree / disagree?
I take it you used an elbow on the port side?
I am struggling to source a stainless elbow 7/16-20 SAE ORB male to 1/4-18 NPT female.
Probably get a 7/16-20 SAE m-f elbow and then use a straight to convert to NPT.
Why don't you plug the filter? straight into the reducer hose?
Mine looks like this - oh, and subsequent to this pic I have deleted the old breather pipe.
Interesting to see how others do this.
I also have the Weber baby-q, but I have a SS holder that plugs into the rod-holder on the "staple" out on the swim platform. Problem is, if you drop your "tongs", they're gone and if the wind is blowing, it blows out the flame.
Thanks for all the feedback.
Ooo…one thing leads to another! I can see a new GPS antenna, a new MFC, which means a new radar…$$$$$.
Boat show is on this weekend too…I’m screwed!!
Presently I have several devices with an internal GPS receiver which I’m using for navigation.
Q1: Should I get an external GPS antenna (tx/rx)? And what are the pros/cons?
Q2: Can I get any GPS antenna or do I need to get one that is compatible with my MFC? Many of the main brands e.g...
I use Prop Speed on my v-shaft configuration. I would say 90% of people on my marina use it as it’s very popular in these parts.
I have it reapplied every 18 months - 2 years.
The install is worth it but requires courage.
Once you remove the windlass gypsy you need to drill a hole through the windlass and hull for the lap sensor. The important missing step is to coat the hole in epoxy so that none of the hull core is exposed to potential water ingress.
Running a two...
I took mine off and cleaned them in a half a bucket of petrol (gasoline) from the outboard. It makes a huge mess and the canister doesn’t come apart, but they’re easy enough to uninstall/reinstall.
Next time, I’ll just buy new ones if they’re cheap because the mess is excessive.
Time to fire up this thread again with a few questions alternator type questions.
I have Redarc battery isolators that I noticed were alarming with the 2 red flashes indicating overcharging.
Because the batteries were fully charged and the engine was idling, I put a voltmeter on my Stbd...
Just installed the anti-divorce device!

Tried it out a week ago and it was brilliant!
Couldn't agree more, but that's what you get from an advertising company (Google).
Btw, I wouldn't use Google (or Meta) for anything...they made their intentions clear long ago and if you do use them, you work for them...for free.
