‘08 210 BR - DTS Digital Throttle & Shift

2008 210 select “Fission”, 350 mag, electronic DTS. 435 hours

First the trim buttons stopped working. After a restart, they work again, now it will not go into reverse.
The drive will not completely stop turning forward when the controller is in neutral, so I cannot reverse the prop blades rotation.

I recently had new bellows installed.
They leaked right off, but they repaired the bellows by repositioning “the boot”

Any connections or contacts I can check?

Is your shift cable properly attached to the actuator arm?

If that’s good, sound like the shift cable
1 needs adjustment
2 got bent
3 broke
4 improperly routed outer cable if it was replaced with the bellows job

If the bellows repair you referenced was just recently done, give that mechanic a call back.

So, I called the mechanic, he was here in 15 minutes. Electrical connector at the DTS actuator had come apart. It has two screws that hold the terminal housing in place to the actuator arm and a small threaded tube that each end of the electrical cable screw into.
I’m guessing they removed this when replacing the bellows. Somebody didn’t tighten everything correctly when it was reassembled.
