Hello All,

Not sure if this was the right spot for this post or the General Help/Electronics forum but here goes. Have a 2006 Sea Ray Sport 195 w/ Clarion M455 head unit with wired remote, Sirius Satelite and 3.5mm aux input. I have six speakers on the boat (which I don't believe were stock or even an upgrade option)however my two middle speakers don't work.

I know the receiver is four channels but I'm not sure if there is an amp located somewhere else on board to power the other two speakers or maybe that is the only route to go if I want all six to work. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with this system and six speakers?

In a separate related nice to have, is it possible to tap into the 12v going into the back of the receiver to add a powers usb hub to just charge a phone (no data)?

The standard stereo for that boat would have been the Clarion M255 with two speakers in the rear by the bench seat.

There was an audio upgrade option that would have been the M455, aux input, two additional speakers in the bow and a two channel amplifier. Two speakers powered by head unit, two by the amp (never will understand the reasoning behind that setup???) Sirius satellite radio was another option on top of all that. Guess the two addition speakers you have to get to six must have been added at some point. The amp should be mounted behind the dash and is accessible through the hole in the foot area under the glove box.

Thanks so technically, assuming the amp still works, I can run 4 speakers off the deck and the other two from the amp? I'll have to look again because I saw the satelittle radio box behind the glove box but no amp. I see alot of rca cables, so maybe the amp was removed at some point. I'm an hour away from the boat so I'll have to look better this weekend.

My ‘06 195 sport only had 4 speakers. I added 4 more to the tower and a sub in the walk through area below windshield and a bigger amp under port seat cushion in the bow. Excuse the grunge it was just after removing cover from winter.

Looks great!!!, does the sub rattle at all? I've been contemplating adding a sub but I really need to get out to the boat and figure out what I have wiring for and try to get all six speakers going. I really don't want to upgrade everything because honestly, I'll use the sirus (assuming I can get that working with my subscription plan) and have the 3.5mm jack to hook up my phone or maybe an alexa auto.

Yeah I completely understand. My auxiliary jack always popped and would lose the fullness of sound frequently plus the cord is a burden. But I used it for years. Trust me, get something with Bluetooth

Do you also have the wired remote at the helm? Forgot to mention that it was also part of the audio upgrade option from the factory. And yes, I suppose you could run four speakers from the head unit and two from the amp.
