There have been many threads regarding water issues with the 390's, however, I have not seen anything regarding what I have going on. Several years ago I cut inspection holes in the cabin floor and in front and behind the genset, I had some water, removed it and all was good. I am traveling on vacation and have been having to remove water at least twice a day (about 3 gallons) from only the inspection holes in the bilge, under the cabin floor is dry and the rest of the bilge is bone dry, I have Tide dripless packings.

Any thoughts?

Leave the water in the inspection holes you cut, then vacuum and hand dry the forward and aft bilge sumps with paper towels and wipe the sumps with acetone. Now watch each sump to see if water starts to appear anywhere in the forward and aft wall of either sump. My bet is that there is a void in the sump wall letting water work its way into the area under the bilge floor.

Frank,

The forward and aft bilge sumps have been dry since I installed the TIdes dripless 6 - 7 years ago, is it possible that it is coming in at the thru-hulls for the motors and or gen-set, possibly the wood blocking is saturated to the point of failure, and letting in the water.

Thanks for the response
