Have a failed sending unit on the starboard side fuel tank. Where can I find schematics/plans of this boat? Thanks

In the 90's the electrical schematic could be in the owners packet in the actual owners manual or in a document Sea Ray furnished to dealers call "Dealer Service Manual". You can go to your local Sea Ray dealer and ask to borrow his manual if it can be located almost 25 years after the fact.

If you just want to eliminate the components in the fuel sender circuit, then connect a jumper from the center terminal of the sender on top of the tank to the tank ground, also on top of the tank. if the gauge on the dash is good, then it will jump to past full when the jumper is connected. That eliminates the gauge and the wiring as a cause for errant readings. The only other component in the circuit is the sender itself.

Thanks Frank,
i get the diagnostic for the problem, I have been searching for layout of components, wiring etc. Is there a service manual that shows where things are and what need to be removed for access ?

I answered that in my first paragraph. The only online help will be that parts diagram. Even the dealer service manual doesn't give to access instructions.

The senders are usually easy to get to. Sea Ray usually puts an access hole and deck plate over the senders which are usually on the side of the cockpit behind the side wall. You usually have to remove that trim panel and perhaps some cabinetry to gain access.

You should have the same boat as my 1991 350/370. The starboard fuel sender is the easy one to get to compared to the port side. The starboard side can be found in the aft cabin under the panel you will find on the shelf along the starboard side.

I could use some help also. I am replacing the sending unit on the port side and may replace the starboard side at the same time. Can anyone tell me what the part number and make is for the replacement unit? I have removed the old one and positive it is original to the boat, it is very difficult to find an exact replacement, however I see there are newer and so they say much better more accurate versions around but what one is right hmmm no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!!
