My engine compartment hatch stopped opening. As a workaround I wired up a temporary wiring harness off the Port battery and located a switch at the generator access hatch. But, this is just a quick fix. I reviewed the wiring diagrams and can't see any safety cutoff that might be interfering. Anyone familiar with this boat and what may be the culprit? I have not had time to figure out how best to get access to the back of the helm. If anyone has done that I would appreciate a comment on that as well. Thanks!

Not sure on your boat, but on the older models, the hatch will not move unless the transom door is open. There is a magnetic switch that pulls in when the transom door is open and in place next to the gunnel.

I suspected there was a switch of this type. I heard Sea Ray loves these types of protective cuttoffs. I could not locate anything on the transom door. I suspect it could be something like this elsewhere. Still searching. I'll post some pics to see if that gets anyone else to suggest possibilities.
