2022 Midterms thread..

If the GOP doesn't get it now that Trump's style of politics is not what voters want they are doomed. People voted for what they wanted or voted for what they didn't want. The party alienated the moderates again and that group voted for the dems. The abortion issue was big in a lot of states as a result lost votes. They have a year to sort this out, I bet its just as big a mess in a year if not worse.
Last I looked Trump wasn't on the ballot. This had a lot more to do with Mitch and Kevin, than Donald.

Trump has made the midterms about him and his 2024 run. "The big announcement Nov 15". Trump endorsed and campaigned for "his choices". Trump was very much on the minds of dem voters and a lot of Republicans

No he wasn't. Trump's time has passed. The big problem is the Republican pollsters goofed on the abortion issue -- turns out it was way more important than indicated vs. economy, inflation, etc. That's seems what the exit polls show. And unfortunately, the Republicans where caught flat footed once again being afraid to argue the issue. It's the Obamacare fiasco part 2. Republicans are pussies. Republican "leadership" -- Mitch, Kevin, et. al. -- are worse.

How many of the dumbasses that voted Dem because of abortion realize that congress had nothing to do with the Rowe decision? That it is, and should be, a state issue and that is what the court said? That there isn't, nor was there ever, a right to abortion (or privacy) in the constitution. If there was a right to privacy, someone would have sued to get every surveillance camera removed. "It's against my right to privacy for anyone to be able to track my movements"....

I can not stand to watch this vegetable on tv any longer.

“A list of ten people im suppose to call on”
FML

NOW he wants unity after he pisses in the face of half of America and tells us its just raining

But they do. They can pass Roe v Wade into law at the federal level. Then along comes Lindsay Graham introducing an abortion bill. The Dems pounded the fk out out abortion here in IL (mostly lies and disinformation) and we are an abortion stronghold. Suburban women went bat chit crazy. Not one Republican stood up and debated the issue. Only Hershel Walker himself mentioned there was a third party involved when it came up in his debate.

Good News! The Russians are going to pull back from Fallujah!!!

Enough! Changed the channel, made a drink

Basically this country just voted for: Killing babies, $5.00 gas, government handouts, high inflation/low growth = stagflation, freezing your arse off in the winter as you try to heat your home with solar/wind, and EVs.

We have come so far from our founding principles it's disgusting.

Bingo! Liberals prioritized killing babies over inflation and crime.

“Societies deserve the government they elect”.

Oh yeah, I am aware that they can legislate it. But the court could find it unconstitutional again. Short of a constitutional amendment the court holds the power here and we know how they feel about the subject. The dem senate candidate in MO (a Busch heir) ran on two issues and abortion was by far number one. Now it didn't help that she claimed to be a nurse. Her brother (who I did some consulting work for and know fairly well) came out and said she never went to medical school for a single day. Thank God she got her ass kicked. I will say, Graham's bill was aimed at heading this result off at the pass, but fucking Mitch couldn't get that through his cement head.

The only way the court could find it unconstitutional is to declare that life begins at conception and therefore the baby is subject to the due process clause of the 14th amendment. They have refused to do that in the past.

Well they also refused to say that there was no such thing as a "right to privacy" (Even though RBG said there wasn't and it was a bad ruling. She said she expected it to get overturned at some point). Never know what they'll do. It's a long shot. With all the ways to terminate a pregnancy at home, I don't understand the desire to physically rip a fetus from the womb and have it memorialized in the law.

Seems Bush and a bunch of top Republicans disagree with you.

I agree with you Mitch and Kevin are bad fir the party. Mitch is hated in his state his approval rating is one of the worse in the party but its a red state so it doesn't matter how horrible of a job he is doing. Even Trump could get elected there, maybe.

Lets see how this turns out....

Michigan

Voters narrowly elected Democratic legislative majorities in Michigan as lawmakers were running for the first time in new districts drawn by an independent citizens' committee that gave Democrats a better chance than the previous districts drawn by the GOP-led Legislature.

When newly elected lawmakers take office along with Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, it will mark the first time in 40 years that Democrats wield full control of Michigan government.

Not good. I’m living that movie.

Its hard to tell who is who ...between Biden and Soros....they both are hell bent on destroying this country

Far-left district attorney candidates who appeared on November ballots and received backing from billionaire George Soros have swept their elections, according to a nationwide search of records and election results.

Fox News Digital performed a 50-state search of campaign finance databases and identified at least four prosecutor candidates who received financial backing from Soros and won their November elections, including two newcomers and two candidates he's previously backed.

The vote counting in Nevada is starting to take on a very 2020 feel.
My god….. Arizona started teaching vote counters math on Tuesday…. If the signature doesn’t match they are calling the ballet owner at home to verify it again….. the US can be embarrassing with the incompetence

Well, that's secure. Probably only calling registered Dems.
