2022 SPX 230 - Stock Speaker Amplifier Location

I have been pulling panels and cushions for about an hour now and cannot for the life of me locate the stock speaker amplifier on my spx 230.

Can anyone point me to a good resource or tell me where this thing is located?

This manual says the system is located at the helm, pg 25. This implies there is no external amp and the components, such as they are, are located in the radio box. Your OB may be on a trailer and you can run it buy a loud auto radio shop and ask them what they would do and how much it would cost. I bought a used boat with an after market amp and am continually amazed at the savy of the installer. I mean, who would know fine stranded high amp cable is available and how to terminate it. Also, the sneaky places they run speaker wires! On a boat, there is no substitute for RMS watts. If she's not sucking your battery dry, she is not putting out!

Do you have the optional audio upgrade? If not, there is no amplifier.

If included as an option, it should be located flush mounted on the port side of the walk-thru. No need to LOOK for it, it's right there visible.
