It's official.... :( Haul out for me is September 26th. Plus, my sprinkler system is getting winterized (blown out) on the 22nd. I could have scheduled the 20th but I couldn't say yes to then. Already dreading winter. I have started walking the dog in the morning armed with a flashlight. Haven't needed that since April, I guess. I looked at last year's haul out pictures. That was Sept 28 and all the dock hands were bundled up like wintertime. I'm sure we'll have our first frost by then.

Oh man, I could not do that. I am up in Baltimore that weekend for a Ravens football game. Probably won't even need a jacket. I don't put her to bed until thanksgiving week and I dread that one.

I feel for you having to to do this in Sept. I would need Thorazine to get me through winter.

I still need to get out a couple days I only got out four times this year because my ribs were busted and my lung was punctured

Where the hell are you that it gets that cold that soon? Even when I was up in Jersey, we used to run the boat into December. There were some nights that I had to bring the equipment up to temp and throw a big lightbulb in the bilge, but never had any issues.

I'm on Cape cod I'm not pulling for a while

It depends sometimes I do sometimes I don't but winterization still winterization and it all costs money I borrow a friend slip when he's not using it

I know you have a much bigger boat but the same principle still applies

Looks like I’m hauling tonight. Hopefully this one will be more brief than my 7 mont “short haul” after Ian

Lots of parallels to Ian though o_O

If we don’t get decimated, it’ll be back in the water next weekend!
Sorry. That was for the OP, not you. Hurricanes are a wee bit of a bigger deal. We’re in the same marina and i have no plans to be on timbers til mid-end october

I don’t think it’s going to amount to much here, but better safe than sorry. She slid 18” dead sideways at 11,700 pounds on a triaxle during Ian

Ha ha, yep. But this way Pete will get me indoors so I can do all the waxing before I get wedged in tight. Last year I came out on the 28th and it was barely 40° that day.
