Thank you.
this is definately helpful information and I will try several diagnostic methods tomorrow.
Yes, I replaced all new batteries recently.
I was also advised to replace all 3 battery switches

I reached out to the NautiMart support teach and they advised me to perform basic self troubleshooting by using clock in the galley and take note of missing modules listed.

I will be doing that tomorrow and update.

Just wanted to make sure you have seen the document above "Changing batteries and hard reboot". It goes through the proper sequencing process required to get the Eplex system working after changing batteries. I haven't had to do that yet, but I have heard it is important to follow.

Hey all. How are you all handling battery management and any idea how many amps the Eplex system is drawing on average? When out for multiple nights off the grid I’m have difficulty keeping up with my used amps even with considerable gen run time and good batteries. ( I have 4 x Optima blue tops for 300amps on port and 2 on starboard for 150amps - It's port that struggles as seems to have a majority of use load including fridge/freezer). Here in WA people also get grumpy when you run the gen a lot so I’m also looking at adding a gen-sep to quiet the gen exhaust – Not sure if anyone has added one. As far as charging, initially, I intended to add a Magna inverter to get the 105amp charging, but a few different electricians haven’t wanted to do it because of the Eplex. Has anyone successfully integrated an inverter/charger into their 36? Anyone using solar panels? Converted to lithium? I’m looking at all options and I don’t mind spending the money to do it right. Would love to hear anything or everything you may have done or had suggested that will play nice with the Eplex system.

Hello

My name es Carlos i have a sundancer 38DA with mercruiser. I wa t to move to a sedan model with diesel. I looked a 36 Sedan bridge 2008 that’s for sale. I have read all the posts about the boat. In All say that’s is a good one but i has several problem with the eplex. I have some questions that really appreciate your help.

1. Om the boat for sale. How can i check the eplex is working properly?

2. Is that possible to change the system as the 09 and 10 models have?

Does anyone know how to lift or remove the salon steps to gain easier access to the fresh water pump and associated piping and wiring?

I am trying to change the fresh water pump on my 2007 36 Sedan Bridge (375 International model). There is very small cutout hatch under the galley kitchen sink which does provide limited access to the fresh water pump and the tunnel under the salon stairs and galley sink. However when i put my head through the cutout hatch and I can also see a panel on the back of the Salon Stairs. The panel appears to be hinged and also has a gas strut indicating that I should be able to lift up the salon stairs providing better access to the pump and other equipment in the tunnel under the salon stairs. Does anyone know if it is possible to lift the stairs? If so how are the stairs attached or fixed to the floor? I have not been able to locate any screws. Photo attached of the hinged panel.

Any assistance most appreciated.

Yes I did try . But the stairs seem fixed in position. Have you been able to simply lift your stairs ? Are they designed to be lifted ?

It is common on many SR to flip up the stairs to get at things like the W/D or vac or whatever might be under there on a certain model. The fact that there's a piano hinge and a strut would point to that. You never know -- maybe the previous owner fastened them down somehow. Or maybe you have to really pull on them. This boat is on my short list for next boat so I would be interested to see what you find out!

I have the same boat- you literally have to lift the stairs up from the bottom step, and the first time I lifted mine took every ounce of strength I had!!!

Thanks for everyone's help on the stairs. My latest issue is related to the Transom Shower Head. The control button on the shower head which is supposed to control the water flow is badly corroded and is not moving. (Photos attached). Can someone please tell me how the rusty control button normally operates? Is it supposed to move in and out to control the flow? Or is it supposed to rotate? According to the photo attached it appears to have a hex head on one end and a round end on the end. I have looked at few photos online of new heads and the new button appears a chrome button however I cant tell how the button normally operates. Water is currently leaking out around the rusty button. I will try to repair the head before trying to replace. Any help appreciated.

New to Me owner of an '07 36 Sedan. Quick question regarding the fridge/freezer.

My fridge works fine, the freezer isn't doing anything. When I look up the "parts manual" for the 36 sedan, it makes it look like they are actually one unit side-by-side, instead of a separate fridge and a freezer.

Question 1: Can someone confirm the the under counter fridge/freezer is one actual unit or two separate units? Worst case scenario, do I have to replace both even though only 1 is failing?

Question 2: Anybody else have this issue? Crossing my fingers and hoping it is something stupid.

Thanks all,

Greg

Hi Greg,

I believe that the standard setup is for the fridge and freezer to be side by side. That is certainly the case on my SR 36.

The fridge is on a separate electrical circuit breaker to the freezer. They operate independently electrically.

I also have a problem with my freezer. It is cold enough but it is leaking condensate onto the timber panel and floor below. I haven't had time to fix it yet as it is down my list of priorities on my boat.

Perhaps someone else has serviced their own freezer and has pulled the freezer out.

You could check the basics on the freezer. Is it getting power? Check the condensate drain. Could be a thermostat. You could get an airconditioning and refrigeration technician to give it a service and diagnose the fault. It might be cheaper than replacing the freezer.

I will know more about the freezer in another week or two as I will have investigated my own unit by then.

Regards Jason
