Hi , just a question...
I have an engine that's decided to stop turning over and has worked 3 times this year ok with the last time running May time. Now it wont turn over and has knackered the starter up which has been replaced by the new mechanics. The previous mechanic gave up and cant hand crank it and mentioned something about a flywheel bar etc. The thing is the engine has had a new starter/fuel pump/ oils and filters / manifolds and risers etc over the year with very little run time on it and the oil is still like golden colour (no milky residue) and spark plugs are new too.
These new mechanics are saying the engine has seized???????? and are trying the diesel in the spark plugs to penetrate the rings..... now I'm thinking the engines not stuck but at a loss to what it could be and haven't spoken to these guys for a few days.
Has anyone else had this issue and possible remedies / rectifications as i'm being told I will have to pull the engine out and may look at a new engine which I don't want.
The other thing to say was that the last time before the starter packed in was the engine tried to fire up when turning the ignition and nearly caught a few times but then gave in which is why I don't believe the pistons are seized. Thanks in advance.
