what issues are you havingHaving generator issues, does anyone have a drawing that shows the wiring from the start switches from the remote start inside the boat to the generator
Bob
the pre heat bypasses the sensors. I had a similar issue last season and thought it was the wire from the cabin to the generator. It turned out to be a bad sensor. I believe it was the oil sensor. i would double check the sensors i think there are 3 on thereI have the wiring diagram from Westerbeke, but it does not accurately show the way Sea Ray wired the preheat and start switches in the cabin. It's 8.0 BTDA. It was running, but would shut down at various times. Now it starts, but shuts down after releasing the preheat, been thru all of the sensors they are working, thinking a loose connection somewhere.
Found the problem, a bad connection on the exhaust temp sensor, the wire looked good, but with the shrink wrapped connection you couldn't see the wire was broke.
Yep!Not me but I totally understand why you want to do this. I just shop vac it out when I'm done. Remeber the deck is cored so its not just drilling a hole as you would want to seal it. Also, if you did the drain thing, it would drain under the rear facing lounge so then it would be trapped in that area...
