I would ask the seller to come back and crank the AC units all the way down and see if the turn on. Again if you are in the cold the ambient temp may be too cold to get them to engage. Your surveyor should have done a better job there. To me that’s a big deal as replacing a bunch of them can be $$$. I would want a second opinion on the condition of them. IMO.
Got it! Will request seller to provide additional assessment.

Does anybody have a 12’ dinghy on the platform?, any input is greatly appreciated, is it too big? Does it block the transom door is it an issue on high seas, does it look too big for the boat etc…I’m looking to buy one and I really like size of it. I previously had a 9’6”and that was fine however this one would be a little bigger…

Mine is just under 11' and it's pretty tight as is. Even with the engine hanging off the stbd side, I'd think you'd have trouble getting past the bow.

Picked up some new stainless jewelry at the boat show today. Italian made beautiful feel.

OCGrant, Love the sunshade with the top supports and the white mesh. We have the standard fastback canvas now, but looking to upgrade to give us more shade. Is this an upgrade you did? If so, please share any details on the shop.

Thought I would share a recent upgrade to the 48. We are planning a 4-5 week trip to the Bahamas this June/July and wanted to be able to take some frozen meat with us to supplement the conch and fish hunting. After measuring the opening in the floor, finding a freezer that would fit and looking at ways to pull 12 volt power I am very pleased with the final outcome. I found this 54Qt model on Amazon and it fits like a glove. If the opening was 1/4"smaller I would have had to modify something. I pulled 12 volt power from the panel, but it does come with a 120/12 step down brick. I did remove the two black handles on the ends of the freezer and screwed one of them to the top door to make it easy to open. Also attached a piece if marine grade Velcro where it lands in the open position against the carpet and that holds it open. Cut some PVC lumber and screwed to the floor so it doesn’t move but can be picked out for cleaning or using somewhere else. Bluetooth control from smart phone to check or change temps. Considering installing a piano hinge on the floor panel and perhaps a gas strut to make getting in there a bit easier. Any thoughts from the group on this?

I have a 3.5 meter dink which is 11.48 feet. The bow is on the Port side. It doesn’t block the door. I am fortunate that my finger pier is on the Port side.

Looks like it fits like a glove in there. I have the big Dometic combo unit 95 liter and we keep it behind the helm seat when cruising and when we spin the helm it becomes a cocktail table. I installed a 120v AC outlet for it as well as a 12v back up. Wifey loves it as it keeps the drinks out of her fridge and the other side is her extra frozen stuff. If we are at the docks in the Bahamas for a few days we even just move it to the dock and plug it in. Pack as much as you can to go to the Bahamas a food is expensive over there and not easy to find if you hit the out islands.

I have a Grand that is a little under 12' (https://grandboats.com/model-ribs/g380/). It can be a little tight walking around it while boarding the boat but otherwise well worth having it aboard.

My 2006 48 DA does not have a center arm rest between the two helm seats. I know later years came with it and the parts catalog shows one for a 2006 but I have never been able to find one. Anyone have any luck with finding one of these? Thanks!

Anyone know where I can find a fresh water manifold? Also, having a hard time finding the tear drop navigation lights. Any help is appreciated.

Hey guys, I just wanted to share that I just finished doing the rudder packing. It wasn't too bad; I thought it would be a lot harder. On the port side, I disconnected the hose to the vacuflush and unscrewed it to move it off to the sides. On the starboard side, I removed the sensor over the shaft. It took me just 2 hours in total!
