I close the seacock, remove the top from the strainer and put a garden hose with water flowing with my hands somewhat sealing into the strainer. Then, after some time when water has filled the system and flowing out of the AC system discharge ports remove the hose reinstall the strainer cover and open the seacock; the system should be primed and ready to operate.Thank you for all the replies! We have her safe and secure in our slip now, and will get busy cleaning all the road grime off tomorrow morning. Can any of you owners give me tip on how to prime the A/C pumps?
Does the 48DA have common drains or individual thru hulls for the A/C cooling water discharge? If you've got the individual thru hulls, try putting a hose against them and back flowing water in the lines. Some say just going out for a short ride will prime the pump. I have turned the pump on and loosened the screws around the pump housing until water comes out, then re-tighten them...Thank you for all the replies! Mine is for the backup camera on the back hardtop which was on the boat when I purchased it. It looks to be an accessory switch.Purchased a 2005 48 this week. Looking forward to it but have one question. What’s the Elect switch on dash do? It wasn’t there on my 420just the label. I thought I found it on here prior but no luck searching.
They are removable. Loosen the 3/4" nut and slide the chock out, unless you have something that was not factory installed. One thing I do not like are the dinghy chocks. Anyone swap them out for something that retracts or are removable?

So we finally have our own thread... it will take some participation to move it along and keep it interesting. Where are all of you 48DA's out there?
