55 DA at Haulover Inlet

Love those Hanover videos. I like the “mystery boat” as they called it. Early 90’s 31/33 Searay express. Someone paid a lot of money to have it turned into one big cooking surface. It looks cool though

Looks like he lost his front hatch. In the end, as he's returning, you see someone pop up through the hatch without it being opened. Considering the water they took over the bow I can't imagine the water damage below.

I always thought the beautiful lines designed into Sea Rays of this era had some compromises. The freeboard on the bow made then succeptible to taking water over the front and it also really compromised the headroom above the master berth.

But who's not guilty of making exceptions for a pretty face.

I saw a you tube instructional video of a captain in a 20+ foot center console showing the proper way to navigate the inlet. He simply favored the channel to the starboard where the water was virtually flat at the same time the center of the inlet was a washing machine. He ran the inlet along the edge and then in the center and the rides were dramatically different. I am just amazed how people that some how manage to have enough going for them to acquire a luxury yacht yet don't possess the intelligence or common sense to operate one in a safe manner.

In that area people run theinlet for fun.

The sea ray in the beginning, that was just poor judgement in thinking that boat was going to handle 20+ knot winds on the open Atlantic.
