We traded in our '07 52DB, Truly Blessed III, for an 07 58DB, creatively named Truly Blessed IV. We spend a lot of time on the boat and the full beam master state with queen bed that we can walk around to make is nice, as is the larger bridge and salon. Plus....our youngest is now taller than I am and he no longer fit in the bunks of the 52DB.
We loved the 52-we put 500 hours on her in 4.5 seasons. Great boat, and a rocket ship with the 800 HP MANs. At WOT, the 58 is nearly as fast, albeit gulping a bit more fuel, but she is also more comfortable in rough seas--approx 8 tons heavier than the 52.
The 58 was purchased in Pompano Beach, then sold and moved up to the Occoquan River. The owner's wife suffered an injury that prevented her from being able to safely climb the bridge ladder, so the boat had very little use over the last couple years. The MANs have 1,000 hours; the Onan has 1500. We did proper due diligence with a great surveyor, and Hild's Marine Service, the Mid Atlantic MAN Dealer, performed the mechanical survey-great folks. She surveyed well, but we had a two page list of small items, all of which the seller agreed to take care of.
Prince William Marine did an incredible job taking care of the survey items and cleaning her up-new bottom paint, black canvas to replace the factory tweed (and an Ez2CY bridge enclosure); and a host of other items. My sons and I replaced all the bridge and cockpit white lights with blue LEDs, and the boat looks nearly new.
