Many of you already know how great BOE is but for those that sit on the side line I want to give praise were praise is do. The admin of this site sells electronics and I have made a couple of orders in that last couple of weeks. The service is above and beyond. The prices were lower than anyone else and with next day from the east coast to my little town. Thank you Jim for a great site and store.:smt038:thumbsup::smt038

Ditto what lorenbennett said.

For those that do not know it, BOE hosts this Club Sea Ray forum website.

They have a sales side here

and they have a boat sales side here

http://www.byowneryachts.com

The founder of BOY, BOE and our club sea ray forum site admin is Jim Maier.

I continue to be impressed that he genuinely wants this forum to be ‘our’ site, a site for Sea Ray owners to help one another, share ideas, ask questions, share our experiences, etc. The temptation to turn this into a site to promote BOE has not seemed to even cross Jim’s mind. I would guess that many members do not even know who owns the site.

At another boating forum site (not this site) that is also in the sales of marine supplies if you even link to another forum, or link to the wrong site, even if you are asking a question about a product you are at a minimum chastised or banned all together. I’ve even seen newbie’s ask genuine but basic questions getting ridiculed and made fun of for asking questions. I was born knowing nothing. I continue to learn more about boating I will always remember what it was like when I first started to get into boating and how many basic questions I had. I see no reason to pick on a person for being new.

Great prices, great service, great support. That is where Jim is focused.

Jim – Great job and thank you!

I have made two purchases of two items each from BOE.

1st was a chartplotter and transducer (about $1200)

2nd was a stereo equipment (head unit and cd changer).

Both transactions were flawless. The Chartplotter was about the cheaper I could find on the net -> and I actually ordered it while I was travelling in Europe (because it was new and unavailable before I left. . .and I wanted to install it two days after my return)

The stereo was one of those crazy impulse buys -> my old unit was broke, and I wanted to replace it with minimum fuss and bother. I did not shop the ends of the earth, but the BOE prices seemed fair. And I got the goods when promised.

Yeah. . . .I would buy from Jim before buying from Amazon. Certainly before buying from West Marine.

I bought a complete system from Jim and it is working great. I bought a multifuntion display and radar system that hooked up and runs great. Jim new exactly what I would need and has responded to my emails quickly. I did check prices and looked very hard to beat what he was offering and could not find a cheaper total package.
