I have a 9'6'' AB RIB with a 15hp Yamaha. My top speed was around 29mph and found it to be dangerous if you found a unexpected wave. Almost flew out twice. Ask Perry about that. Anyways now I have the EuroHelm and love it. I also installed Bennet spring loaded tabs. After all this my top speed went down to 22mph. Not good! So after messing with trim on the engine and locking the tabs in the up position I got the speed back up to 27mph with just me in it. Now this thing is more fun than ever and very stable at speed. I have the same Euro Helm and trim tabs on my dink with a 15hp Johnson 2 stroke. Is your dink rusting and falling apart like Alex's dink? Mine neither.

No rust or falling apart either. I'm not too easy on it either. Faster IS better!

Yeah, the helm is the best thing you can add to a RIB.

I have the next size up AB also with a Euro helm but a 20 HP 4 stroke Honda. The thing sounds like it's hardly working and I look down and see that I'm doing 22 knots. That's ~25.3 MPH to you, Jimmy.
And the open bow arrangement is awesome when going to the beach with two big dogs.
I agree that this "Euro" helm is a great addition and changes the dinghy immensely, and it is the only think I like with the word "Euro" in it. To me "Euro" usually means… well, let's not get THAT whole thing started again.
And no, mine's not falling apart.

I have a dinette and a wine fridge in mine. granted it's small, about the same size as the 510fly.
