I was on my buddies boat yesterday and has a 1998 400 Sundancer. We were pulling up the anchor and I reached for the hose to wash it off and he told me it didn't work. I asked why and he said he believes someone turned it off to winterize it and never turned it back on. He has owned the boat several years but has never been able to use this option. Does anyone know where the shut off is for the anchor locker water line?

The line runs down the starboard side....I don't ever remember seeing one. You might want to look in the aft bathroom to see what you can find. I would think it would share the cold water feed to this bath. Good Luck

My 330 had a separate seacock and pump for the anchor wash down. There was an accessory switch on the helm that turned it on. On a '98 400DA, someone with that model will respond.

This boat has a fresh water washdown. I would turn off the water pump and pop the fittings at the valve and turn the pump on to confirm its not the point of use valve.

Did he check the manifold?

On the 99 400 DA the anchor wash down does not have a shut off valve. The tube to the anchor wash down runs all the way from the stern starboard side of the boat. There is a tee way back there by the accumulator. My bet is that it wasn't winterized properly, the pipe broke in the wall of the boat and someone just disconnected it and capped off the tee. You can download the parts manual for your boat which will show the approximate location and layout of the plumbing.

Good Luck,

Pete
