This led all around light seems to have 4 zones of light. Only one zone works for me.

Can I replace just the bulb or do I need to replace the whole thing? Never saw one like this before.

That's a pretty reputable light, and if not working, typically a wiring/switch issue. For a boat under 40', it should be 360* all the time.

it actually has 3 zones 120* each.

Yes, it looks expensive. I just got this 2001 Sundancer 340 and noticed the issue.

Hoping I can fix it with a light bulb but I have no clue what type, brand, etc

Its a sealed light with a 50000 hour life (allegedly), so likely a loose wire.

Thanks! At least I have a better idea of what I'm getting into. I'll pull it this weekend and see what's going on.

That’s almost 6 years if left on 24/7….wonder how they figure that out…. I see these claims all the time and never come close

I don't know if it'll make it 50000 hours but the old unsealed festoon version worked for about 10 minutes or until the first wake on my boat. It was good at making and collecting salt as well:)

Attwood made those lights. Search for a 360 light.

Thank you! I think that's it. Saw something very similar in Attwood brand on Amazon... About $100.00.

I replaced my festoon light with this…

45019 Edson Vision Series Attwood LED 12V Combination Light with 72" Pigtail - 67510

Looks to be the same light.

To be more specific..

Attwood made the light, but that looks to be a Seaview mount, so yes, you could buy from Seaview, but I believe they discontinued the Attwood version for what looked to me to be an inhouse built replacement.

I would still trouble shoot the switch wiring, as that would be cheap and easy (of course getting to the connections is a PITA.

here's the wiring diagram

Before replacement or other testing...

It looks like the 2000 era 340's had a separate running and anchor light light switch. Turn both on, you may find that all 3 zones light up.

The 340s in the 2000s (DA & SDA) with stern lights split the top mast light. Navigation would be forward light on top mast and stern light at the lazarette. Anchor would forward and rear lights on the top mast with the stern light off.

I'm going to try this. Appreciate the knowledge being shared here!

SWITCHOLOGY!

If you're around the military (or any aviation), that's the term used when you crap doesn't work because you didn't have the switches in the right positions.

Lol

Thanks everyone for the help and getting me fixed. It works great when RUNNING and ANCHOR are in the ON position

Just remember its one or the other as to not confuse other boaters
