Anyone try this West Marine AFI Dual Mini Trumpet Air Horns?

I really like the powder coat finish- sharp!
Air horns definitely get the attention you're looking for. Just be sure to give your passengers a heads-up before you hit the switch...

I installed the non-air version of the AFI horns about 15 minutes after I heard what the factory horn sounded like on my boat. 9 years later, still working fine. Be sure they have slope so that moisture drains from the trumpets.

Mine are on the arch, left center. I ran the wires through the arch (had to pull a couple of access panels) and hooked them into the original horn switch.

Curious on the DB's of these....they look identical to the $20 auto store model, plastic, which is rather loud for what it is.

I'd hide mine where my stock "horn" is supposed to be in the bow.

This was taken before I added the radar - which there was still room for.

I mounted this WM dual horn on my arch. It was easy to do and took less than an hour. I mounted it about midway between the radome and the TV antenna. The only thing I had to do was move that front horn mount a couple of inches to the rear to make it fit the arch.

It definitely gets the attention of nearby boats.

I installed the dual horn "sea choice" 12V horn on top of my radar arch. However, after two weeks, they no longer work. I suspect that too many bugs or moisture go in them. A friend told me that I should have mounted them backwards to keep the water and bugs out....Any suggestions?

Nacho, yup, if you get water in them they'll just make a very quiet buzzing sound. The secret to that is loosening the screws that hold the back of the horn on and let the water drain out. Then blow it a few times and it will work fine.

I've thought of putting a condom over the front of the horns to keep water out but then I just said "fuggit" and forgot about it.

I looked over my boat today and need to find where to tie them into my horn switch? Anyone have any thoughts? Its an 06 340 DA.

Take a clean paper towel and spray a lot of "kills on contact bug spray" on it and wipe the inside of the trumpets. Keeps the bugs out. Properly mounted (tilted a bit downward) moisture is not a problem. I used to replace the horns on my SRs with AFIs. They make a good product.

Well, 3 hours later and armed covered with fiberglass marks the horns are installed and work great. I used a relay with a 20 amp fuse as the factory wiring is only 5 amps. Running the wires took the most time and I had to cut a 3 inch access hole in my arch but it looks like the factory ones. I am very happy with the result.
