River and lake in my opinion are much more dangerous, because you have the potential for rocks or rocky shores. We have friends with a 22 foot Regal Destiny that they regularly "beach" on the lake in a cove and the entire front part of the keel has significant gel coat damage because no matte where you are on our lake there are sharp rocks in the bottom mud. I would NEVER, NEVER beach a boat no matter where. The previously described shallow anchoring options are the way to go with your bow riders.
