Trying to clear out space. I removed this and will probably never put it back. As far as I can tell this has never been used. Still has the bags sealed.

Anyone interested in it? Make me an offer.

I have the hose as well. Keep in mind this will be costly to ship since the hose takes up so much room.

Mine has a rusted tank but works fine. If the above doesn’t work out - pm me.
If Tt or Bahama end up buying it and have the old tank and want to get rid of it, pm me as well

Did you replace it?.. I love that central vac….. well let me rephrase that…. I love watching my wife use it :)

Yes, with a handheld vac that takes up less space.

I'm interested in the motor, if anyone has a good running motor, that's all I need. Please reach out....

I’m interested if it doesn’t sell to anyone above. I definitely need the hose.

You reminded me that mine is on my to do list. Mine works but doesn't shut off with the hose detached. Kind of defeats its purpose. Would I actually use it much? Don't know. I have a Dust Buster that I have been using.
I had the same issue last year and replaced the inlet. Quick and easy, 2 screws and 2 wires, done!

Was this the wall inlet or at the actual vacuum? I'm really not familiar with a central vac. Never had one before this.
I am pretty sure this is the part I replaced but thinking about it mine was not turning on when I plugged in the hose.

There is not much to this - connect the wires (bottom inset pic) to the 2 contacts (top inset pic) and the metal ring on the hose completes the circuit to turn the vacuum on. Does the vacuum go on when you insert the hose?

I'm going to have to review it again. The canister switch I think is "off-on"? When on it runs whether or not the hose is plugged in. I don't remember if I tried to attach the hose with it turned off.

I figured you would turn on and then it would run when the hose was attached.????

Is the switch on the vacuum canister turned on? Sometimes the hose fits quite tight and needs to be wiggled to make contact with those two little prongs in the inlet fitting. I need a hose as that metal ring on mine is broken.

That was the issue with mine. The prongs had worn down so a new inlet fixed the problem. @Jus Cruisin seems to have an issue with the vacuum not shutting off when the hose is disconnected which sounds like the wires to the inlet could be shorted out. Maybe the PO did this to bypass a non working inlet?
