I guess I've never seen brand-new washers, as I didn't know there was different colors to the two sides! I can't image it making a difference. Maybe someone else more in-the-know will chime in shortly.

I couldn't find any info on them so figured I'd post up here. Bored on a flight from R.I. to NV thinking about the few loose ends I have to tie up so I can get the boat back in the water this weekend .

Mine, on all three drives (two boats) had a G10 fiberglass washer. And it didn't matter how they went in, just that they were in. I don't remember either boat having two. But I have been wrong before.

The white is just a backing for the adhesive used to aid in installation. Hopefully installing them tomorrow and scratch one more job off the list.
