Oh my
I had a '66, my Dad gave me a brand new one, cost 1,200-1,300 bucks back then. My friends Dad gave him a XKE Jag and I got a Bug. Most the girls actually liked it though, cute or something. Here I am the VW geek posting. The bug in the picture in this thread is a 67. Bundy's car was a 68+ car.

Just so I don't violate the thread rules, here is Miss Shannon Rae who was the VW magazine queen back in the day

Dear Sweet Baby Jesus, please let the cure for COVID 19 be bar-b-q. That is all. It’s because baby Jesus knows you are looking sinner! Lol
I get hungry every time you post that one, and I ain't talking about the triplets or the fries!
My first car was a 66 bug at age 15. It was stuck in second gear. I saved up the $700 to buy it mowing lawns around the neighborhood. My Dad's contribution was the John Muir book; the title was something like "How to keep your VW alive for the complete idiot." I tinkered on that car nearly every weekend.I had a '66, my Dad gave me a brand new one, cost 1,200-1,300 bucks back then. My friends Dad gave him a XKE Jag and I got a Bug. My first car was a 1974 super beetle that was made into a baja bug. Big tires on the back and the exhaust that went straight up. I traveled with a big cup that I had to put on the exhaust if it would rain.My first car was a 66 bug at age 15. It was stuck in second gear. Here is Miss Rae (on the right) again in a classic 80's looking picture. Love the hair!

Nice! I have built and owned a few Baja bugs over the years. I have a 73 Thing, a 69 Baja and a 59 Bus at the moment. Keeping this thread on track, here is a friend's car. I believe the model has a bikini on there somewhere. My first car was a 1974 super beetle that was made into a baja bug. Big tires on the back and the exhaust that went straight up. Hey, no plagiarism, she is mine.
@mrsrobinson can have the 2 outside ones in the first pic.
