I have come across some really bad boat mechanics in the central Texas area over the years. I have had experiences with ones that are just crooked and ones that either take forever or have no idea what they are doing. Am I unique here or just too demanding or both? I have finally found a mechanic here in Central Texas that is extremely reasonable and does really good work on my 290. He set up a really good maintenance program that is reasonably priced. My boat is in better shape, engine wise, than it has ever been. It is a good feeling to finally have someone you trust work on your boat. What experiences has everyone else had with boat mechanics?
