Need some help diagnosing the non functioning vetus bow thruster in our 400 sedan bridge.
Unit doesn't function, green light on joystick control does not light when master switch on the bridge is on.
1. Checked batteries one was 12.4 volts the other 11. Replaced both.
2. Checked continuity of fuse from charger to batteries, no open circuit found.
3. Checked continuity of fuse from batteries to bow thruster solenoid, no open cicuit found.
4. Checked continuity of low voltage side of solenoid, no open cicuit found and both 5 amp fuses are ok.
I can't find a circuitbreaker if there is one in addition to the fuse link.
Any assistance is very much appreciated.

Sorry if this is obvious, but you have to press both on buttons after turning the switch on to get the green light on.

other than that, make sure the solenoid clicks on when you flip the switch on.

I have a non-operational rear thruster. Did all of the electrical checks. After talking with Florida Thruster, he figures the motor bushings are bad. This winter I might pull it out and ship it to them. He indicated a rebuild would be $500-700.

Have you tried replacing the master switch at the helm. You should hear the solenoid engage when you flip that switch. Sometimes they corrode and malfunction. Also did it ever work?

Thanks to all so far.
1 Sorry I dont have a pic but I have only a master switch and one button by the joystick which should light up when master switch is on but does not.
2 Could be the brushs, I will look at them next weekend.
3 I checked all the connections on the master switch. It is a Carlin VLBA. 9925. I will have to find the schematic to test it. The bow thruster ran intermitantly last year. This year ran fine till I over used it docking against a strong cross wind.
I was told there is an overheat breaker but can only find fuses and they all test ok.
Edit, having difficulty sourcing the Carling VLBA 9925. FP Marine does not stock it.

Since the green joystick on switch button does not light when depressed and the joystick does not operate I may have falsely assumed there is no power to it. Will check that next weekend. Thank you.

Anyone who replaced the master switch have the correct part number?
Called fp with v1ba 9925 but they could only find a v1ba that is momentary on in up position not constant on which is what I have. Told me to contact sea ray who came back with 1..thanks for contacting us. 2..contact fp marine. 3..case closed.
I suspect like others above, the maine switch on the bridge below the joystick is the problem.

Still haven't found the problem. The brushs are good at 1 1/4 inch thick. All fuses check out ok. The attachment shows what I thought was the cause. With botton in the on position the circuit appears open. However I ordered a new switch and replaced it with no change. The old switch is in the pic. The new switch also shows open circuit.
