I am in the process of replacing all canvas and cockpit carpet. I have looked at Snap In Carpet/Custom Marine Carpet (advertised here) and am looking at Great Lakes Boat Top for canvas. I am in Hoboken, NJ so will also be looking for vendors at NY boat show tomorrow.

Anyone have recommendations or insight?

Much appreciated.

I could not be happier with the quality and turnaround + pricing with Corinthian Marine carpet. Do a search here for "Corinthian" and you'll see some examples of some of us that used them.

I just got some new cockpit carpet from Custom Marine Carpet and am extremely please with the service, quality and price. Also dealt with Great Lakes regarding a new top (which I didn't pull the trigger on) but was very impressed with how helpful they were as well.

I'd suggest waiting till early February... Last year Great Lakes had a sale going on at that time and you could get a nice discount if they do that again.

They did a nice job for me on a replacement top... I'd recommend them.

I would consider using a local canvas shop for the replacement top. You specify exactly what you want in terms of glass, screens, window size, etc. They will also install it which saves the hassle having to install the snaps.

Personally ... local is the safest way to go ... have seen ordered kits that just didn't match up one way or another and then there are those boats that have MODIFICATIONS. LOL

Most marine upholsters (think that's what their called) come out, give you a quote, remove and install (most even warrant their work so ....)

Going with Gioia Sails. Having the aft bimini extended 2 feet and having the forward enclosure done in Anina. They are also doing the cockpit carpet. Will post some pictures when they complete. Here is a before look:

I think you're doing the right thing having the aft extended 2'. It's impossible to sit in the back of these boats with the back on. Can wait to see it.

Just got the new canvas installed. Extended the rear Bimini two feet, love the extra space created! Also had Anina glass installed. Expensive, but but worth it...check out the pictures, clear as glass.

Looks great! Nothing like the freshness of a new top complete with clear window pieces!

Nice job!
